Wedding photographer with a knack for picture perfect details and a heart that beats for travel and adventure.
We LOVE adults-only resorts! Planning your destination wedding? Would you like a kid-free wedding experience? Then an adults-only resort is the way to go! These resorts offer more privacy, more fairy-tale settings, and features, and are 100% focused on romance (yes please!). If we had to pick, we’d choose an adults-only resort over family resorts because the atmosphere can’t be beat (we also love family resorts; see our recommendations for those resorts, too!). We love photographing our couples in the intimate mood adults-only resorts set. Read on to find our picks for the best adults-only resorts for destination weddings.
First, let’s look at Jamaica (my favorite place!). Jamaica is always romantic: luscious scenery, sandy beaches, and breathtaking sunsets! This results in an easy search to find a resort to match your loving mood. Look no further than Couples Resorts in Jamaica!
One of Couples Resorts’ most intimate locations, Couples Negril is located on a large stretch of beach along the west coast of Jamaica. There are multiple wedding locations, and spas to relax after you say, “I do.”
Also located in Negril, Jamaica, this all-inclusive resort is only about an hour and a half from the airport. While you enjoy the first moments of marriage, bask in the spa, relax by the pool, and cuddle along the beach here at Swept Away!
In general, Sandals knows how to do adults-only resorts. Plus, their resorts are gushing with romance! Each Sandals Resort is all-inclusive, with intimate perks, luxurious suites, and delectable cuisine. We’ve found that Grenada and Saint Lucia are two of our favorites! Grenada is the largest of three islands located in the southeastern Caribbean.
Not only are there great adults-only resorts in Mexico, but we were at this resort in December 2021 to photograph a wedding! The El Dorado Casitas Royale resort is connected to another adults-only resort (El Dorado Royale) AND a family resort, Generations Riviera Maya. This means, you can have families join you in paradise (if you have children attending your wedding) but most of your time can be spent in a child-free state of relaxation. An all-inclusive and very romantic destination, we recommend all couples who are interested in a variety of locations for ceremonies and receptions to get married here. They have beach locations, a Sky Deck, a covered pier, a cenote, and the list goes on. Additionally, this location is only a short flight for anyone coming from the U.S.
The Florida Keys, Bungalows Key Largo is another tropical paradise for a romantic wedding or honeymoon. Also a short flight for couples traveling from the U.S.
Lastly, Saint Lucia not only has some Sandals Resorts (three to be exact), but other adults-only venues perfect for your wedding.
