Autumn Engagement Session | Appleton Wedding & Engagement Photographer

Autumn can be unpredictable in Wisconsin, it’s just a fact of life. But on the day of Abbey and Michal’s engagement session, we were shown just how fast the weather can change around here.

When I left my house to start driving to meet these two lovebirds, it was sunny and cool. Within the twenty minutes it took to get to my destination, I drove through sleet, downpouring rain, and snow. There was even a vibrant, beautiful rainbow!

Our session followed suit. It started chilly and damp, progressed into a more steady (cold) rain, and then the skies cleared a bit and we had a radiant sunset. I commented multiple times about how happy I was that we stuck it out and waited for the weather to turn in our favor because the light we had this particular evening was spectacular. You never know what Wisconsin will give you in October!

As for these two, Abbey and Michel met in college and have the sweetest, purest love to share with each other. They each compliment the other so well! They are getting married next August on the water in Oshkosh – a beautiful backdrop for two souls who are deeply in love.
