Wedding photographer with a knack for picture perfect details and a heart that beats for travel and adventure.
I’ve had the pleasure of knowing the Abrahamson’s through our local Hike it Baby chapter… in fact, Baby A was still in the sleepy newborn stage when we first walked in downtown Neenah this past winter. So, when Mom and Dad wanted some photos to celebrate Baby A’s first half birthday, we started planning something fun outdoors at a park.
But then Mother Nature decided that she wasn’t going to grace Wisconsin with Spring and we had to reschedule their session due to the biggest snowstorm of the 2017-2018 Winter (in mid-April, no less). Their rescheduled date rolled around and it was still too chilly and too wet to hang out at a park without coats… so we took the session indoors!
If you know me, I’m not a “sit here and pose in a studio” kind of photographer. I prefer to have my clients play games, whisper secrets to each other, and have tickle fights during their session so I can capture true emotion and genuine smiles. So, bringing a session inside meant I had to get a bit creative! Cue a few phone calls to The Plant Place, a wonderful locally-owned greenhouse in Appleton, WI… where we were welcomed with open arms! When I arrived, I even got a tour of the place from the owner, Karen.
There were hardly any people around on the Friday morning that we visited which made for an even more intimate experience – because we practically had the place to ourselves (well, plus thousands of beautiful plants and the employees).
The photos from this session are some of my all time favorite. The lighting was amazing, all three Abrahamsons were dressed perfectly, and Baby A was so well behaved – it was a DREAM!
