Emily and Kristopher were married on a hot, sunny Saturday in July. They couldn’t have picked a more perfect location – The Howard– to tie their romantic day together. Emily works at The Howard in Oshkosh and not only loves the 1920’s feel, but also how grand the space feels (I couldn’t agree more!). Not only was the venue gorgeous, but the little touches the couple added made the day especially classy and beautiful.
Emily wore her grandmother’s pearls, which complimented her strapless David’s Bridal gown and dazzling shoes – absolutely stunning! The lace and beading of the gown were an elegant complement to the flowers from Branching Out and Co. and when Kristopher turned for their first look on the front steps of The Howard, he couldn’t take his eyes off Emily. He was completely enamored by her beauty! These two were so clearly in love and showed their affection easily and openly the entire day with the sweetest kisses and support.
Emily and Kristopher met five years ago online and a week after their first date (They walked around Target for hours talking!), they became officially boyfriend and girlfriend while on their trip to Devil’s Lake State Park. Emily knew something was up the day Kristopher proposed, because he was “sick” that morning but when she came back home in the afternoon Kristopher was ready to take Emily out to dinner and a movie. After date night, Kristopher took the ring from his pocket and proposed in the comfort of their home, surrounded by their cats (LOVE!).
Emily and Kristopher’s friends and family were amazing. Emily’s friends did her hair and airbrushed makeup and her mom was there every step of the way, making the day family-centered and magical. The ceremony and reception were both full of candles and fresh flowers – how romantic! Emily and Kristopher were naturals in front of the camera, obviously so in love as we took couples pictures outside by the lakeshore and family pictures at The Howard.
There was laughter, dancing, delicious chicken to be eaten (seriously, it was phenomenal!), and yummy cupcakes from Manderfield’s at the reception. They truly made their COVID wedding the best day ever! Check out their photos below and you’ll agree!
