Samantha and Andrew originally planned their ceremony at the beautiful Peace Lutheran Church in Rosendale. However, occupancy restrictions due to COVID, forced the two to make a tough decision. Already celebrating at the Best Western Premier Waterfront Hotel and Convention Center in Oshkosh for the reception, Samantha and Andrew shifted their ceremony from a church location to the outdoor area between the convention center and the water. Excited to have as many family and friends safely join them on their big day, this was a necessary change.
With the statewide mask mandate, cutting down on guest lists, and potential cancelations or reschedules, weddings are not easy these days. Needless to say, we here at Sara June feel that tightness in our chests just as much you do. Despite these challenges, weddings are still happening (thank goodness!), and every bride and groom deserves their special day. Angela and Sam made the best of their COVID reschedule, turning their wedding day into a lively celebration to remember!
If you’ve postponed your wedding because of COVID-19 (we feel your frustration, sadness, confusion, want to scream into a pillow type of emotions), there are still many reasons to celebrate and throw a smaller party with all the festive glitz and glam. Shifting to a smaller wedding allows you and your fiancé to tie the knot […]
The communication and connection with you and your photographer should click! When looking at their portfolio, perusing their website, pouring over their reviews, and then talking with the photographer in person or over the phone, it should click into place—your heart will tell you whether or not it is a good fit. Do your personalities clash or mesh? Do you feel this photographer is trustworthy? This is the team who will preserve your wedding memories, and those are once in a lifetime moments. There’s a lot of trust needed for that!

There is definitely something special—and important—to experiencing other cultures, communities, and traditions. I think encountering lifestyles different from your own in general life is significant in order to be a well-rounded person, be a kind and empathetic person, and see others’ point of view. Respecting and seeing people different than you, is one reason traveling the world is so important. Part of that experience and discovery carries over into why I love destination weddings.
In the ever-changing world of weddings, there are a few things people attending and planning the wedding should and shouldn’t do. Wedding etiquette and just a general kind and polite attitude is always the right move, and out of all the weddings I have attended, it is always best to brush up on what to avoid before and during a wedding celebration.
Hi beauties! We have invested in Her! If you booked a session in 2019, a portion of your fee was set aside to be donated to the women’s nonprofit. I chose the three nonprofits for our donation in 2019: Harbor House, Women’s Fund of the Fox Valley, and the Breast Cancer Family Foundation. All of you courageous and adventurous women who booked a boudoir session with me then were able to answer a question about these nonprofits in my pre-session questionnaire, so I could figure out which one resonated more with you. Being kind goes a long way, and giving back to women in the community can help uplift and provide support to so many in the area who need it.
